* works best on wet hair. So dog has been wet down, or washed once( you can apply& mix with shampoo) , or mix with a little water and apply to DRY dog( reason for this is hair & skin will absorb more of the oils) we use this trick for shedding breeds with Matt’s, recirc, then follow with shampoo( for dished and mats I suggest refresh or everyday, they are the heaviest) and conditioner, and spray leave in. 

Try it on your hands! The oils can be very moisturizing, that’s why it’s suggested to SOAK to allow to be absorbed, plus follow with shampoo( not a chemical SLS type, that will just strip out and undo the goodness, use a Melanie Newman one, )
